Imperious Dominatus:Titan Legions and Questoris Knight Households..

Trent played Titan Legions and I played the Questoris Knight Households..

Testing was done on the following:

1) Points increase on titans

2) Plasma weapons again..Winking smile

3) Trail run of the new CC rules…in version 0.6 rule book…

Summary

Ok another interesting game..it started well for me since I target the Warhounds to cut down on his speed and then it went pear shaped..since I was very keen to test the new CC changes..So yeah, I could have fled away from him, and hide in cover and made him come after me..But that's not going to test stuff…

1) Points increase on titans: This seam about right now for titans points cost, and the lower unit count will mean the player will need to make tactical decisions about holding objectives or wiping stuff off the board..also means the big boys will need to get into the action and not still on the back line..

2) Plasma weapons again: Well this didn't get much of a test run, since will it was very CC game..But when they did get to shoot, it was mainly non over charge…. There two train thoughts in the group, 1) is that increase the shoots for short range, so that they get used more, since well, the belief is that, you just move up, sit on the objective and from turn 2, just don't move and over charged.(That train of thought may change due to points increase).. 2) Up the shots for both types of shots and drop the templates..This more of time thing and should stop the arguments about placement and wants under the template(yep these rule are clearer on that then EA), but it’s going to happen….My gut feeling is that plasma weapons are good, but as always, there still needs to be more testing done…I’m in favor of dropping templates and upping the shoots for both types…

3) Trail run of the new CC rules…in version 0.6 of rule book: These changes and the write, have help this section greatly and they are a step in the right direction..I know there was a CC that went for 8/9 rounds, but that was due to both sides making higher then average armor and Morale saves, with modifiers, but it was nice to have resolution for the CC and not do one round and just have it sit there till next turn..and compared to other 5 games we have played, it went quick, as far a we were concern… I know that this just our point of view and other may not agree..which is fine…We have another game played for Saturday night were it Space Marines Vs Solar Auxilia and I think it will flow even quicker, since there wont be some many high DR units on the table…

4) shields at 4+: OK, the last couple of games we have been using the armor save and this change was bought in, in version 0.4. We had concerns getting shield back up, was a little tuff and thought shields could be repaired on a 7+…Now with this save to shields and not using armor save, as the shield rating, there may be a case, but we will tested and see..
