Saim-Hann (4.2.1) and BLACK LEGION take 3

Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between Saim-Hann (4.2.1) and BLACK LEGION

I used the Saim-Hann (4.2.1) and Britt used the BLACK LEGION..Take 3

Changes that were tested..

  • Expert rider rule added…
    SR went from 3 to 4.
    Drop the points of the Farseer character.
  • Wind Rider Host has been added to the troupe section and a limit of 0-1 per Wild rider clan.

Turn 1

  • Saim-Hann won the SR and went first..
  • Saim Hann do sustain fire with NIGHT SPINNER TROUPE(Photo1) and shoots RETINUE, killing 5 and breaking the formation due to BM’s and so it flees BACK INTO ROUGH GOING IN IT DEPLOYMENT ZONE(Photo2)… was done for prepping, but manage to put enough BM’s on to break it..

  • Saim Hann failed to activate WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL)(SC rerolled used), and so regroup(Photo1)

  • BLACK LEGION bring on HELL BLADES(one shot down by AA fire) and shoots the WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL),killing 1 and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo1)..wanted to break the formation

  • BLACK LEGION do a engage action with Terminators and target the NIGHT SPINNER TROUPE(Photo1) and the dice are rolled and the Terminators win the combat and the NIGHT SPINNER TROUPE is wiped from the board(Photo2) and the Terminators consolidate 5(Photo3)…done to claim blitz

  • Saim-Hann move SoV(Photo1) and shoots RETINUE, killing one and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo2)…Done to prep the target..

  • Saim-Hann do a engage action with WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL)(SC rerolled used), uses the SC commander ability and brings in the other WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL)(gets support from SoV),and targets the RETINUE(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the 2 x WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL) wins the combat, and the RETINUE is broken(Photo2).The 2 x WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL) consolidates forward a full move and the broken RETINUE moves into the ruins(Photo3).was done to try and cut activation down and to start the TAH goal..

  • Saim-Hann do a engage action with Guardians(2 x WILD RIDER CLAN WARHOST(SMALL) and SoV give support),and targets the RETINUE(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the Guardians(broken due to BM’s) wins the combat, and the RETINUE is broken(Photo2).The Guardians flees back to the hill(Photo3)and the broken RETINUE moves into the ruins(Photo4).was done to try and cut activation down and to start the TAH goal..

  • BLACK LEGION bring on HELL BLADES and shoots the Wind rider host/troupe,killing 2 and this breaks the formation(Photo1) and so it Flees back to the ruins(Photo2)..was hoping to kill a few.

Summary
 
Well that was game of fun…If I had gotten turn two and not have 3 failed activations in turn one, the outcome may have been totally different..I would like to try and give the list another run…
