Necron Sautekh Expansion (0.3) V’s Iron Warriors (NetEA v3.0 )

 

Well Tuesday been and gone and we manage another game of epic. This time it was 4000 points per side and it was between Necron Sautekh Expansion (0.3) V’s Iron Warriors (NetEA v3.0 ).

Summary

A few words from the sub commander of the IW……

Tonight Trent and I (Britt) commanded 4000 points of Chaos Iron Warriors against Greg's Sautekh. A most enjoyable game of Epic as usual with these guys. I can't remember one that wasn't.While we'd faced Necrons before, the Sautekh have their own special flavor. The ability to land troops all over the board via Monoliths is still something I've yet to come to grips with. The army is fair, since units are quite expensive, but I'm going to have to play a lot more games against them before I come up with a solution. The activations tell the story.  Both sides started about even, but by game end Chaos had only half the activations of the Necrons due to losses and routs. Destroying Monoliths seems to be the key and we'll work harder on this in future games against them. Getting to know their capabilities is essential as well. A fun game night with lots of laughter and fun. We even had our own "Custer's Last Stand". Looking forward to our future Epic games.

OK my thoughts

  • Ok my main concern has been the NIGHT SHROUD BOMBER, I'm not sure it should have MW for it death spheres. They manage to break three units and get fair number of kills. I’m not convinced that a MW is need on a Bomber and I will say more testing is need.
