Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between Saim-Hann (4.2.2) and Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2014)
I used the Saim-Hann and Trent played Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2014)…..

Changes that were tested..
- Expert rider rule added…
SR went from 3 to 4.
Drop the points of the Farseer character. - Scout Rider Troupe has been added to the troupe section and a limit of 0-1 per Wild rider clan.
- Tested the Fire prism stats

Turn 1
- Saim-Hann (4.2.2) won the SR and go first..
- Saim-Hann do sustain fire with Night Spinners(Photo1) and shoots LANDSPEEDERS, giving them two BM’s(Photo2)…Prepping time
- Saim-Hann do a engage action with Scout Rider Troupe(3 BM’s from OWF), and target the LANDSPEEDERS(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the LANDSPEEDERS(BM) wins the combat and the Scout Rider Troupe is wiped from the board.The landspeeders consolidate into the rocky outcrop(Photo2)…that didn’t go to plan..
- Saim-Hann move Hornets up(Photo1) and shoot the LANDSPEEDERS, giving them a BM(Photo2) and then move to the left of the Objective marker, so to gain cover(Photo3)..was hoping to kill a few
- Codex Astartes place THUNDERBOLTS on CAP(Photo1)…OH no the Saim-Hann have air power
- Saim-Hann place SoV on overwatch(Photo1)..to denied area to Codex Astartes
- Codex Astartes double move bike formation up to claim objective marker(Photo1)..was also getting in position for next turn.
- Saim-Hann double move Wild Rider clan and then shoot BIKES, giving them a BM(Photo1)..prepping
- Codex Astartes double move VINDICATOR(BM from OWF) up the left flank into rocky out crop(Photo1)..wanted to stop any movement down that flank
- Saim-Hann double move SoV up the right flank(Photo1) and shoot the VINDICATOR, giving them a BM(Photo2)…was hoping to kill 1
- Codex Astartes bring in the MARAUDER SQUADRON(BM from AA fire) and target the Wild Rider clan, killing four and breaking the formation, which flees behind the oasis(Photo1)..was hoping to break it.
- Saim-Hann double move Hornets up the right flank and shoot the VINDICATOR,killing 1 and giving them 2 BM’s(Photo1)…was hoping to kill 1 and got it
- Codex Astartes double move TACTICAL up the left flank(Photo1) and shoots the SoV, killing 1 and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo2)..wanted to stop any movement down that flank
- Saim-Hann double move Wild Rider clan(Photo1) and then shoot BIKES, giving them a BM(Photo2)..prepping
- Codex Astartes march move PREDATOR up, to been near the objective marker on that flank(Photo1)…again also getting ready for next turn
- Saim-Hann double move SHINNING SPEARS up the middle(Photo1)..getting ready for turn 2
- Codex Astartes double move LANDRAIDERS up(Photo1) and shoots Wild Rider clan, giving it a BM(Photo2)..getting ready for turn 2
- Saim-Hann bring in Vampire Hunter(BM from AA fire) and target the VINDICATOR, killing two and breaking the formation, which flees back into rough going behind it (Photo1)..was hoping to break it and open that flank
- Codex Astartes do engage action with LANDSPEEDERS and target the Shinning spears(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the Shinning spears(2 BM’s) wins the combat and the LANDSPEEDERS are wiped from the board(Photo2)…was hoping to break the BTS
- Codex Astartes keep BIKES on overwatch(Photo1)..guard duty
- Saim-Hann don’t remove Blast Markers from Wild Rider clan.

- Saim-Hann deploy the Avatar(Photo1)..was about the best place to put him
- Saim-Hann (4.2.2) won the SR and go first..
- Saim-Hann active the avatar and use it commander ability and bring in 2 x Wild Rider clan(Support from Scout Rider Troupe) and target the BIKE formation and calls intermingled and drags in the LANDRIADERS(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the Avatar(2DC)&2 x Wild Rider clan wins the combat and the BIKE&LANDRIADERS are broken(Photo2).The LANDRAIDERS flee behind rocky outcrop and the Bikes flee to the objective marker.The Avatar moves forward and the Wild Rider clan consolidate 5(Photo3)
- Saim-Hann active the Hornets troupe and do sustain fire and shoot the Predators, killing them out right(Photo1)
- Saim-Hann active the Hornets troupe and do sustain fire(Photo1) and shoot TACTICAL, killing 6 and givng the formation 7 BM’s(Photo2)
- Codex Astartes fail to activate the Tactical and so regroup(Photo1)
- Saim-Hann do sustain fire with Night Spinners(Photo1) and shoots LANDSPEEDERS, giving them a BM(Photo2)
- Codex Astartes do engage action with LANDSPEEDERS and target the Wild Rider clan(Photo1),The dice are rolled and the Wild Rider clan wins the combat and the LANDSPEEDERS are broken(Photo2).The Wild Rider clan consolidate5 and the LANDSPEEDERS flees to the objective marker near the ork buildings(Photo3)
- Saim-Hann do a engage action with SHINNING SPEARS and target the Broken LANDSPEEDERS(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the SHINNING SPEARS(BM) win combat and the broken landspeeders are wiped from the board(Photo2)

- Saim-Hann fail to activate SoV(SC reroll used) and so regroup(Photo1)
- Codex Astartes bring in the MARAUDER SQUADRON and target the SHINNING SPEARS, killing four and breaking the formation, which flees behind the buildings(Photo1)
- Saim-Hann fail to activate Vampire Hunter(Photo1)
- Saim-Hann fail to activate Wild Rider clan and so regroup(Photo1)
- Codex Astartes keep THUNDERBOLTS on CAP(Sorry No pic)
- Codex Astartes doesn’t rally Tactical and Bike.Both sides remove Blast Markers.
- Codex Astartes concedes and so the Saim-Hann win…
