Well it’s Tuesday again and this time we took the Assault of Imbalance scenario out for a test spin…
Trent played the Codex Astartes(FORCE A) and Britt used the Emperor's Children(FORCE B)….
We only allowed Infantry with 15cm for the first test run…
Armies
This mission is fought between forces of 1,000 points each, but may not include flyers, AV, LV, War engines, Spaceships, no teleporting and units that use planetfall. The Force A player has three markers, which he can assign to three different formations (Rule below).
The Battlefield
This mission is played on a 4 ft x 4 ft board. The terrain should represent a bombed-out city or space dockyard, and may be set up in a mutually agreed manner.
Place Objective Shuttle/landing pad
After the battlefield terrain has been placed, the Force A player nominates a table quarter (see deployment map below) to be their deployment zone. The Force A player then places a model to represent a shuttle in the opposite quarter to their deployment zone. The objective Shuttle/landing pad model must be placed at least 50cm’s from the centre of the table.
Deployment
The Force A player deploys all of his army anywhere within his table quarter, but not closer than 30 cm to the centre of the table. The Force B player then deploys half his formations in each of his deployment zones no closer than 45cm’s to any Force A formation and no closer than 30 cm’s to the centre of the table.
First turn
The Force A player get the first turn. Then from 2 turn on, roll to see who goes first…
Game Length
Game goes for 4 turns
Victory Conditions
The Force A side wins if at the end of the game a marker is in base-to-base contact with the objective Shuttle/landing pad model. Any other result is a Force B victory.
Mission Special Rules
Markers: A stated the Force A player gets three markers. The markers are carried by three different formation. If the formation is broken or destroyed, then the marker is dropped, before the formation flees or is removed. Any Force A or Force B formation may pick the marker up. To pick the marker up, the formation will need to do a move order.

- Emperor's Children do a marshalling action on RETINUE 2, so move up and then remove all BM’s(Photo1)
- Codex Astartes move DEVASTATOR(Photo1),and shoot CHOSEN 1, breaking it due to BM’s so it flees back to Shuttle/landing pad

- Emperor's Children place RETINUE 3, on overwatch(Photo1)

- Emperor's Children do engage action with RETINUE 1 and target the SCOUT 1(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the RETINUE 1 wins the combat and SCOUT 1 are wipe from the board(Photo2).The RETINUE 1 consolidate back into the Shuttle/landing pad(Photo3).
- Codex Astartes move DEVASTATOR(Lose 1, 2 BM’s due to OWF)(Photo1),and shoot RETINUE 1, giving it BM(Photo2)
- Codex Astartes double move SCOUT 2(Photo1) and gets a BM from OW fire from the chosen2(Photo2)

RETINUE 1 is broken due to BM’s(Photo2).The RETINUE 2 flee back to the Shuttle/landing pad(Photo3)

Summary
Yes well after that game, we sat down and went over the scenario…Some of the ideas included
- Changing the deployment
- Giving force A 500 points more
- Making sure FORCE B not fall back anywhere near the Shuttle/landing pad area, if broken..
- Change in Victory conditions…
