Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between

  • Tau Third Phase wins the SR and goes first…
  • Tau fail to bring in the AX-1-0 SQUADRON..
  • Knight World place Paladins on overwatch near the Blitz..
  • Tau double move Hammer heads up, so it just below the two objective markers, in it’s half of the table..and fires seek missiles at the Paladins on their right side, giving it a BM.
  • Knight World double move Castellans up right flank, so it’s near the ruins and shoots the Hammer heads, giving them a BM(Used MW shot)..
  • Knight World places THUNDERBOLT SQUADRON on CAP..

  • Tau move Hammer head squad up behind ruins and shoot the Castellans on right flank, killing 1 W/E and giving it 3BM’s..
  • Knight World march move Errants up the right flank, so they are in the ruins..
  • Tau fail to activate the CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE behind ruins and so regroup…
  • Knight World double move Paladins on the right flank and shoots the FIRE WARRIOR CADRE, killing 3 and giving it 4BM’s..
  • Tau double move CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE across and shoot the Paladins, giving them a BM..

Turn1 part 2

  • Knight World double move Castellans up left flank, so it’s near the woods and shoots the FIRE WARRIOR CADRE, killing 3 and breaking the formation, which flee behind woods to it left side(Used MW shot)..
  • Tau fail to activate the BROADSIDE GROUP behind ruins and so regroup…
  • Knight World bring on THUNDERBOLT SQUADRON(1K\2BM’s from AA fire) and shoots the RECON SKIMMER GROUP, killing 2 and giving it 3 BM’s..
  • Tau fail to activate the RECON SKIMMER GROUP, and so it breaks due to BM’s and it flees back towards the blitz..
  • Knight World march move Errant, Baron up the right flank, so they are in the ruins..

  • Tau march move the RECON SKIMMER GROUP, so that's in the left hand corner of the Knights deployment zone..
  • Tau double move FIRE WARRIOR CADRE and so deploy troops into the woods near the blitz..
  • Tau place BARRACUDA SQUADRON on CAP..
  • Tau don’t rally RECON SKIMMER GROUP.Tau don’t remove BM’s from ARMOUR SUPPORT GROUP.
  • NO aircraft were lost in the disengage section…

  • Tau Third Phase wins the SR and goes first…
  • Tau do sustain fire with HAMMER HEADS and shoots Paladins, doing a DC and giving them 2 BM’s..
  • Tau do second active and so active the CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE, so move up and shoot the Paladins, doing 3 DC and breaking the formation, which flees behind the woods..
  • Knight World do a engage action with Errants, right flank in ruins and target the HAMMER HEADS.The dice are rolled and the Errants, win the combat and the HAMMER HEADS are wiped from the board.The Errants consolidate 5 cm..
  • Tau double move BROADSIDE GROUP across and shoots the Errants and gives them a BM..
  • Tau do second active and so active the CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE, so move up and shoot the Errants, and gives them a BM..

turn2 shot 1

  • Knight World double move Errant, Baron up and claim objective marker and shoot HAMMER HEADS, killing two and breaking it, so flees to the ruins on the left flank..
  •  Tau bring in the AX-1-0 SQUADRON.. jumped by CAP and get blown out of the sky..
  • Knight World fail to bring on THUNDERBOLT SQUADRON..
  • Tau double move FIRE WARRIOR CADRE into the ruins on the left flank..
  • Knight World move Castellans up, and shoots the CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE, killing 2 and giving it 3BM’s..
  • Tau fail to activate FIRE WARRIOR CADRE near Blitz and so regroup…

  • Knight World move Castellans and shoots the FIRE WARRIOR CADRE, wiping the formation from the board..
  • Tau move the RECON SKIMMER GROUP, so that's in the left hand corner of the Knights deployment zone and closer to the blitz..
  • Knight World keep Paladins on overwatch near the Blitz..
  • Tau stand down BARRACUDA SQUADRON..
  • Tau don’t rally RECON SKIMMER GROUP and Knight World don’t rally PALADINS.Tau don’t remove BM’s from CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE.
  • NO aircraft were lost in the disengage section…
  • TAU conceded…

Summary
 
Wow talk about bloody..yeah my first game with Tau and it didn't go well..I believe the deployment was ok..but I needed to get more cross fire on the Knight, which didn't happen...My dice rolls we not with me either, Trent was amazed, on how many missed..
 
This was also our first 3000 point game with vassal and it felt total different to a 1000 point game, so there was learning cure, but it was still fun to do. Anyways may the dice roll high..
