Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between Codex Astartes (NetEA Tournament Pack 2014) and Saim Hann(4.2.2)

- Codex Astartes win SR and go first..
- Codex Astartes bring in THUNDERHAWK and is shot out of the sky by AA fire(Photo1)…so who said you cant shoot one out of the sky..
- Saim-Hann march move hornets up, behind hill(Photo1)..getting ready for the next turn
- Saim Hann do sustain fire with Night Spinners(Photo1) and shoot the SCOUTS,killing 1 and giving it 3 BM’s(Photo2)…was hoping to place BM’s
- Codex Astartes double move Predators(Photo1) and shoots Hornets,killing 1 and giving them 2 BM’s(Photo1)..wanted to place some BM’s on them
- Saim-Hann fails to activate SoV and so regroups(SC reroll used)(Photo1)…OH joy it started well..
- Codex Astartes bring on THUNDERBOLT SQUADRON and shoot Hornets, giving it a BM(Photo1)…hoping to place a BM’s
- Saim-Hann move Wild Rider clan up and claim objective marker(Photo1)…..start the process of claim TAH goal
- Codex Astartes double move TACTICAL up through ruin(Photo1) and shoots the Scout rider troupe, giving it a BM(Photo2)..was hoping to prep it
- Saim-Hann move SoV up(Photo1)..was trying to rearrange the parking space
- Codex Astartes fail to activate Scouts(SC reroll used), so regroup, only manages to remove 1 BM(Photo1)…happens to everyone
- Saim Hann do sustain fire with Night Spinners(Photo1) and shoot the SCOUTS,killing 1 and it breaks, so it flees back behind the hill(Photo2)…was hoping to place BM’s
- Codex Astartes bring THUNDERHAWK(DC and 2 BM’s from AA fire)&TACTICAL and target the Wild Rider clan(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the Wild Rider clan(4BM’s) and the THUNDERHAWK is destroyed and the TACTICAL is broken(Photo2)The TACTICAL flees up the side line and the Wild Rider clan holds(Photo3).. was hoping to turn a flank..
- Saim-Hann double move Wild Rider clan up and claim objective marker(Photo1)…..start the process of claim TAH goal
- Codex Astartes move Predators(Photo1) and shoots Hornets, giving them a BM and breaks them, so they flee behind hill(Photo1)..wanted to hopefully break them
- Saim-Hann fail to activate Wild Rider clan and so regroups(Photo1)…...Dam
- Codex Astartes move WARHOUND(Photo1) and shoots Wild Rider clan,killing 2 and giving them 3 BM’s(Photo1)…want to lay some BM’s on it
- Saim-Hann double move hornets though wraith gate and shoots the Predators, killing two and giving it 3 BM’s(Photo2)..was hoping to kill a couple
- Codex Astartes don’t rally the TACTICAL.Both sides remove BM’s

- Codex Astartes move Predators(Photo1) and shoots Hornets, giving them a BM(Photo1)..wanted to hopefully break them
- Saim Hann do engage with Wild Rider clan and target the Warhound(Photo1)..The dice are rolled and the Wild Rider clan win the combat and the Warhound is broken(Photo2). The Wild Rider consolidate full move back(Photo3)...I wanted to clear the area
- Codex Astartes bring on THUNDERBOLT SQUADRON and shoot Hornets, killing 1 and giving it 2BM’s(Photo1)…hoping to break it
- Saim Hann move Wild Rider clan up(Photo1)..getting ready for next turn

Summary
Again I think the 30 cm range on the hornets, feels about right. It does force you move the formation more.So where's before you may have done a single move, you are now doing a double move..So a bit more though into its deployment etc.
Expert rider rule today was not going my way, in the end I made 2 Jink’s saves. In the 27 games were I have used it, it really has only shined maybe 3 games..My opponents are fine with it and believe it the right way to go..
