San Lando Campaign…Ambush

Well we manage another game of epic. It was between Emperors children and Minervan Tank Legion.

I used the Minervan Tank Legion and Britt the Emperors children…

This was also the third game in the San Lando Campaign. Which we will be run over the coming months..

The scenario was Ambush which is from the booklet Ill met by moonlight.

• Minervan Tank Legion..go first as per scenario.
• Minervan Tank Legion double move TANK COMPANY(Photo1) and shoot ARMOURED COMPANY, killing 1 and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo1)

• Minervan Tank Legion do a engage action with the MECHANIZED PLATOON and target the ARMOURED COMPANY, calls intermingled and drags in the CHOSEN and QUESTOR TITAN(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the MECHANIZED PLATOON(4BM) wins the combat and the ARMOURED COMPANY, CHOSEN and QUESTOR TITAN are broken(Photo2) The MECHANIZED PLATOON(4BM) consolidates 5 cms and the CHOSEN flees to the other side of the road, the QUESTOR TITAN and ARMOURED COMPANY flee down the side of the ruins(Photo2)..was done to try and take formation out..

• Minervan Tank Legion double move MECHANIZED PLATOON up(Photo1)

• Both sides remove BM’s.
• No aircraft are lost in the disengage section…

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN do a engage action with the RETINUE and uses the commander ability and brings in a QUESTOR TITAN and so targets the MECHANIZED PLATOON(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the RETINUE&QUESTOR TITAN wins the combat and the MECHANIZED PLATOON is wiped from the board(Photo2).The RETINUE&QUESTOR TITAN consolidates 5(Photo3)..was looking to break the formation

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN march move RETINUE into the ruins(Photo1).

• Minervan Tank Legion bring MARAUDER BOMBERS in and target RETINUE and clip the ARMOURED COMPANY.The RETINUE, loses 3 and gets 5 BM’s. The ARMOURED COMPANY gets 2 BM’s(Photo1)was hoping to break formation..

• Minervan Tank Legion move TANK COMPANY(Photo1) and shoot QUESTOR TITAN, doing a DC and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo2)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN double move QUESTOR TITAN(Photo1) and shoots the MECHANIZED PLATOON, killing 1 and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo2)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN move QUESTOR TITAN(Photo1) and shoots the TANK COMPANY, killing 2 and giving it 3 BM’s(Photo2)

• Minervan Tank Legion do sustain fire with TANK COMPANY(Photo1) and shoot QUESTOR TITAN, killing it out right(Photo2)

• Minervan Tank Legion fail to activate SUPER HEAVY TANK COMPANY(SC reroll used)(Photo1) and shoots the QUESTOR TITAN, and break the formation due to BM’s, so it stays put(Photo2)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN move ARMOURED COMPANY(Photo1) and shoots the TANK COMPANY, killing one and giving it 5 BM’s(Photo2)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN do marshalling action with QUESTOR TITAN and so move(Photo1) and shoot TANK COMPANY, giving it a BM(Photo2)and than regroups(Photo3).

• Minervan Tank Legion double move SUPER HEAVY TANK COMPANY(FORCE B)(Photo1) and shoot RETINUE,killing 4 and giving it 10BM’s, which break the formation and flees down the ruins(Photo2)…

• Minervan Tank Legion fail to bring on MARAUDER BOMBERS(Photo1)…

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN double move RETINUE(Photo1) and shoots TANK COMPANY, breaking and so it flee behind the woods

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN march move RETINUE into the woods(Photo1).

• Minervan Tank Legion bring MARAUDER BOMBERS in and target RAPTOR CULT and clip the broken RETINUE.The RETINUE, loses 4. The RAPTOR CULT loses 2 and breaks(Photo1) and so the RAPTOR CULT flees up the middle of the ruins(Photo2)was hoping to break formation..

• Minervan Tank Legion fail to activate MECHANIZED PLATOON and so shoot the RETINUE, killing 1 and giving it 2 BM’s(Photo1)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN double move ARMOURED COMPANY(Photo1) and shoots SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY, doing a DC and giving it 4 BM’s(Photo2)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN do a engage action with the QUESTOR TITAN and  targets the MECHANIZED PLATOON(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the QUESTOR TITAN wins the combat and the MECHANIZED PLATOON is broken(Photo2).The QUESTOR TITAN consolidates 5 and the MECHANIZED PLATOON, flees towards back to it base line(sorry no pic)

• Minervan Tank Legion bring MARAUDER BOMBERS in and target QUESTOR TITAN,giving it a BM, which is enough to break the formation(Photo1), so it flees into the ruins(Photo2)…was hoping to break formation..

• Minervan Tank Legion bring MARAUDER BOMBERS in and target ARMOURED COMPANY,killing 1 and giving it 3 BM’s (Photo1)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN do sustain fire with ARMOURED COMPANY(Photo1) and shoots SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY, killing 1 W/E(bloody critical) and giving it 5 BM’s(Photo2)

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN do a engage action with the QUESTOR TITAN and targets the SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY wins the combat and the QUESTOR TITAN is broken(Photo2).The SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY stays put and the QUESTOR TITAN, flees back into the ruins(Photo3)

• Minervan Tank Legion move SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY up(Photo1) and shoots ARMOURED COMPANY, killing 1which breaks the formation and so it flees down the road to be beside the woods(Photo2)..done to cut down on activations.

• EMPEROR'S CHILDREN do a engage action with the RAPTOR CULT and targets the SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY(Photo1).The dice are rolled and the SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY(2dc) wins the combat and the RAPTOR CULT is wiped from the board(Photo2).The SUPER-HEAVY TANK COMPANY, breaks due to BM’s and so flees behind hill(Photo3)

Summary

 

That was a close game till I started losing SHT. I’m looking forward to the next one. The experience system seams to be working but more testing is need…
