Well Tuesday Night has been and gone, and we manage to do another scenario game of epic, as always 4000 points and the two list were the Iron Warriors ver 2.5 and Scions of Iron. Anyways on with the show…..
SITUATION: Your dispersed force is advancing quickly through disordered enemy resistance when a strong enemy force is encountered to your front. You must collect your scattered detachments quickly and direct them to where they’re needed most if you are to overcome the enemy before he overcomes you.
MISSION: Standard Tournament rules and victory conditions apply.
TABLE & TERRAIN; We used a standard 4 ft. x 6 ft. table and 4000 point armies. Terrain was a mix of buildings, alien forest, hills, and crop fields (like forest but not dangerous).
SET-UP: Half of the players force (by points value) will be deployed as normal. The rest will be divided into two roughly equal groups ‘A’ and ‘B’.
REINFORCEMENTS: Before activations on turns 2 and 3, reinforcements will arrive off table. Roll a D6, with 1-3 indicating Force A has arrived, 4-6 that it is Force B. The other force will arrive turn 3. Where the reinforcements will arrive depends on the roll of a D6. On our 4’ x 6’ table, we used 1= Left short side, from 0 to 2 feet in, 2= The first 2 feet of left back edge on the deployment area, 3= The middle 2 feet of the back edge of the deployment area, 4= The right 2 feet of the deployment area back edge, 5= The right short side, closest 2 feet and 6= the right short side, furthest 2 foot section.
If the rolls result in opposing reinforcements arriving on the same section (One player rolls a 1, the other a 6) then neither arrive. They start their own battle elsewhere! Place the arriving units just off table and move them on table one at a time as they are activated. Repeat this process on turn 3 for the other reinforcement groups arrival.
Time: 6 turns.
Note: If an enemy force ZOC blocks your entry onto the table, the unit is allowed to move laterally until an opening is available. However, this sideways movement is subtracted from the units on table move. Or simply attack it!

- Timed call and the Iron warriors win on count….
